KUSD's Lice Epidemic

The Kingman unified school district board met last night at the district office. In addition to recognizing KUSD students for perfect scores the topic of the districs Lice policy dominated the night.

There was lengthy debate between the board members and the members of the community who attended the meeting about what constitutes Lice. Some considered only live lice to be grounds to send a student home while others pushed for a stricter policy to include both live lice and Nits.

Ultimately the board decided to review policies from other districts and withhold their decision on the matter until their next meeting.
