A heavy duty pickup truck left a field of debris when it barrelled along Northern Avenue in north Kingman and crashed through a business at Van Nuys road Wednesday afternoon. Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responding at 4:00 p.m. discovered the blue 2020 Chevy truck protruding through the building and its injured 65-year-old driver.

``It is suspected that the driver suffered a medical episode, causing him to accelerate to a high rate of speed," said sheriff's office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen. ``The truck left the roadway and struck multiple mailboxes, advertisement banners and a business sign pole with a concrete foundation along the north side of Northern Avenue. The bed of the truck was ripped from the frame and landed on the south side of Northern Avenue." Mortensen said the truck spun several times before plowing into the business. The driver was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center and no one else was injured. ``Several citizens stopped to assist and traffic was diverted around the scene for approximately two hours due to the large amount of debris in the roadway," Mortensen said. She said another vehicle was damaged by an airborne mailbox.
