Havasu Drug Plea

A Lake Havasu City drug dealer will be going to the Arizona Department of Corrections under terms of a plea agreement entered Thursday, January 2 in Kingman. The deal requires Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle to send Sarah Jackson, 39, to prison for 5-8 years during a January 31 sentencing hearing.

Jackson was on probation for a 2017 drug case when arrested last August 25 in the vicinity of 3511 Iroquois Drive. Prosecutor David Wayt said Jackson was in possession of 5.6 grams of heroin, 2 grams of methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia including syringes, cotton balls, foil, a spoon and a scale.

Wayt told Judge Carlisle that Jackson admitted she had been selling drugs for about one month before her arrest. Jackson admitted several probation violations and she pleaded guilty to possession of dangerous drugs for sale.
